Chet Lo: Ready-To-Wear SS25 – HBRPEDIA

Who doesn’t want to make their mother proud? Mum was the word this season at Chet Lo, a touching ode his own: Mai-WahCheung.

Titled ‘Mai’s Blossom,’ the collection charted her career journey from computer sciences to digital media, eventually becoming an artist and educator. Corporate chic appeared via workwear fabrics that were spliced with Lo’s signature spiky material while a ‘glitch’ pattern – his take on plaid – brought URL to IRL. A grown-up evolution of what we’ve seen to date from the Fashion East alum, Lo’s SS25 collection finished with a duo of sparkling looks – cascading beads that crackled as the models swished by.

“‘Mai’s Blossoms’ is not just a collection but a narrative woven into fabric, a tribute to a woman who embodies reinvention,” the designer shared in the show notes. “It invites you to reflect on the powerful interplay between memory and identity, technology and art, strength and softness.”

Following the finale, Lo made his lap hand-in-hand with the season’s inspiration herself – a cute ode to everything she’s done for him. I’m going to call my mum right now to tell her how much I love her and I think you all should too!
