Celebrations are in order at Iceberg. This year marks the Italian brand’s 50th anniversary, and what better way to commemorate it than with a catwalk!?
Making a special resurgence for the golden year during Milan fashion week, creative director James Long, showcased an extensive range of alluring looks, including lightweight reversible city macs and mohair mesh sweaters worn over bikinis for summertime punks. In bursts of ‘iceberg’ blue and bitter orange, dreamy mini trenches and vibrant ribbed dresses were perfect for those chillier evenings, while suede dresses low cut to a peephole neckline would be great on a night out.
Pairing ensembles with huge slouchy bags and a brand new eyewear offering (produced by AVM 1959 and inspired by the mixed metals used in 20th century furniture design), looks aimed to navigate a ‘city streamline meets sporty’ avenue. That meant every model was dressed to the nines in fit, functional, fabulously chic clothes.
Boiling over with acid hues, the theme was ‘fresh energy forever’ denoting the colour, clarity and positivity that has defined the brand for half a century. Carefree and fun, it was a great collection for an even greater label. Here’s to another 50!
