Introducing Issue 73 Of HBRPEDIA – RISING, RENEW, RENAISSANCE – Read The Editor’s Letter

It’s here! Issue 73 of HBRPEDIA – RISING, RENEW, RENAISSANCE – arrives on newsstands September 18. This issue is dedicated to the idea of renaissance and focuses on multi-talented, multi-faceted, multi-layered creatives. Our first cover stars Agel Akol wearing Loewe’s AW24 collection – shot by Vanina Sorrenti and styled by our Global Editor-in-Chief, Sophia Neophitou.

Exactly a year on from the debut of 10 USA, we are very excited to announce the launch of 10 Japan, with Saori Masuda as our Editor-in-Chief. After 18 years at Japanese Vogue she is a veteran and one of the most respected editors and creatives in Japan and globally. We are so thrilled to be welcoming our new addition to the fold for September.

This truly represents such an exciting new expansion in the world of 10. For me it is an absolute dream come true! After meeting Saori 15 years ago while I was working as Creative Director at Japanese Vogue we became fast friends.

I was so impressed by her determination and can-do attitude. She’s an amazing creative and one of the most brilliant women I’ve ever met. Saori is so level-headed and measured. She never compromises and always achieves all she sets out to with grace, elegance and efficiency.

Saori is my fourth unicorn, another one in a trillion. After we launched 10 Australia with Alison Veness 11 years ago, 10 USA with Dora Fung a year ago and 10 Deutsch (coming in March 2025) with Editor Toby Grimditch, Saori will now create our new 10 Japan. I know she will protect and guard the uncompromising creativity that is in 10’s DNA. I am excited to watch her flourish and grow in her new role and can’t wait for the adventures we will all embark on together.

Now, onto the issue and all the wonderful things it holds. This edition is totally devoted to the idea of renaissance and focuses on multi-talented, multi-faceted, multi-layered creatives.

The issue celebrates creative polymaths who are complex, collaborative and inspiring, who find ways to amplify their talents not just in a singular way but by walking different and varied paths. I have huge admiration for people who focus on craft and excellence and for fearless creatives who pivot, move and push beyond their own comfort zones. This issue is dedicated to people who are ever-evolving and morphing over their creative lifespan. It is full of those that challenge on every level across all different walks of creativity.

I hope you enjoy discovering them all as much as we enjoyed highlighting their endless brilliance and talent.
