With the SS25 shows officially underway – the New York leg ends today, before London Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow (September 12) – it’s not long before Seán McGirr presents his anticipated sophomore collection for McQueen in Paris on September 28.
Ahead of that, the brand has released a campaign for its new Sling bag. First spotted in the brand’s AW24 campaign, the new angular style has got its own well-deserved moment in the sun with its own campaign shot on the streets of London, New York, Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai.
Appearing in the hands of musicians, actors, producers and artists from all over the world, John Glacier, Lauren Auder, Rene Matić, Heartworms and Florence Sinclair are photographed by Kayla Connors in East London, while New Yorkers Sir Chloe and Zsela are captured by Evan Browning. In Seoul, Hwang So Yoon, Sumin and Meaningful Stone are shot by Nikolai Ahn and Fish Zhang photographs Ruigi Jiang, Hala Muji, Yehaiyahan, Wen Jun, Jojo Garden and David Yang in Shanghai and Ito Wolf, Aoi Yamada and Hina Yoshihara in Tokyo. The embodiment of the McQueen ethos, the various talents are unapologetically themselves.
As for the enigma of an accessory, the sleek Sling is crafted from a single piece of leather, folded and stitched into its asymmetric silhouette and finished with a Cross-Bar buckle engraved with the brand’s logo. Available in tan, black, oxblood and a white crackle-coated leather. View the full campaign cast below and pick up your own Sling bag now.
