Zomer’s SS25 collection sent an array of florals, kaleidoscopic colours and super fun prints stomping down the runway. Light and full of flora, ‘summer’ – the literal translation of the brand’s name in Dutch – was what design duo Danial Aitouganov and Imrush Asha aimed to encapsulate this season.
As models traversed the runway, dressed in lovely clothes with ruched textures, gliding across the ash grey floors, a wide array of elegant and expressive pieces emerged. The creative director pair decked out pieces with panoplies of ruffles, resulting in a number of skirts that materialised with voluminous layers. Bold and contrasting colours it up the catwalk. Think forest green puff-sleeve blouses and brown balloon trousers, embellished with an oversized satin flower brooch, and exciting ruffled bucket hats in vivid hot pinks and azure blue. Contemporary clothes and experimental silhouettes merged with an avant-garde sense of sophistication. Each look that flaunted the runway was decadent, with Danial and Imruh’s proving themselves to be visionaries.
An ode to those who celebrate audacity through their own individual expression and personal style, the range challenged traditional fashion boundaries in a beautiful, bright way. Summertime, here we come.
